Mint New '49 Macgregor Parmaster Woods and Parmaker Irons This is a 1-2-3 set of woods and 2-4-5-7-9 partial set of irons from around 1949, shortly before Hogan left Macgregor to start his own company. They have never been on a golf course! I acquired these from a gentleman who received them as a High School graduation present in the late '40s. He took them to the driving range once and decided that golf was not his bag. I think he made the right decision, because there is not a ball mark on the face! There are some black marks on the sole plate of the driver from some sort of hitting mat. The 9 iron also looks like it was hit into the dirt once or twice. The rest of the clubs are immaculate. Other Hogan Goodies Limited Edition '73 Hogan Apex This is a very rare limited edition commemorative set. Only 800 sets were made. I think maybe they were offered exclusively to Hogan dealers by the Hogan sales reps. I've never seen another set of these anywhere, and I've never seen them listed in a book. The literature that comes with them says they are "1973 Hogan Apex reissued as a limited editon of 800 sets". I'm not sure when they were "reissued", but the literature goes on to quote a 1986 issue of Golf Digest, so I'm guessing they are from either '86 or '87. They are mint new in the original box. The box is a little beat up, but the clubs are perfect! $3,000.000 Hogan 40th Anniversary Limited Edition This is a limited edition set from around 1993. There were only 1,500 sets made. I actually have two sets. One is brand new in the original box, never been hit. The other set is very slightly used, but still excellent playable condition with new Winn grips.
